There are loads of articles on what to do when it comes to short haircut styles—and only a few on what you shouldn’t do. So here is another on what you shouldn’t do!
Do not rush into a haircut
Think short haircut styles over carefully. Let’s face it—a lot of us just rush into haircuts. It’s not exactly a bad thing—but when you’re chopping off…oh, half of your hair, then you need to take the time to think it over first. Try and look up pictures, videos, and other types of media about the short haircut styles that you’re thinking about trying out—it can only do you good! If you realize that maybe it isn’t quite as good looking as you thought, then you might want to check out other short haircut styles—just to make a better, more informed decision.
Do not dye your hair ten or twenty different funky colors at once!
If you’re trying to get the kind of punk thing going on with your short haircut styles, then at least stick to a maximum of three funky colors. In all seriousness, if you try more than three, you’ll look a bit ridiculous. You’ll probably end up with all of the colors bleeding together, creating a giant, splotchy mess when they bleed into the shower and out of your hair. Not to mention that any colors that are compliments might bleed together and turn a gross brown color. Again—stick to three.
Neglect Your Haircut
If you really like your short haircut, then try to keep it maintained. One of the most awkward things that you can do is let a short haircut start to grow out and then get it cut all of a sudden. It’ll look weird in the time in-between and will probably really frustrate you. Short haircut styles are great—but they take a bit of work. What are your favorite short haircut styles?
